Justin is a seasoned personal trainer with over 15 years of experience helping clients move better, feel stronger, and live more active lives. Since beginning his training career in Hollywood in 2010, he has worked with a wide range of individuals, from beginners to seasoned athletes, using a strength-focused approach that blends mobility, flexibility, and performance. His passion lies in showing clients what’s possible—whether it’s building strength, reducing pain, improving posture and athleticism, or simply creating a body they feel more confident in. He brings a wealth of real-world experience and practical knowledge to every session. When he’s not coaching, you’ll find Justin exploring Austin, playing soccer, enjoying the live music scene, or spending time outdoors with his dog, Goose.

Jacob Rios
Personal Trainer
Jacob is a highly qualified personal trainer, holding a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas. With more than 15 years of experience, he is certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist by NASM, as well as a TRX Specialist. Jacob believes in personalized training programs that fit each individual's lifestyle. Expect a thorough, patient, and charismatic approach when training with him. Jacob takes pride in his clients' success, including many who have prolonged or foregone joint replacements due to his programs. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, cooking, and spending quality time with his family.

Jill Tyson

Jill is a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Precision Nutrition Coach with more than four years of experience helping clients build strength, improve mobility, and achieve sustainable results. She specializes in mobility-focused strength training, guiding both women and men toward feeling strong, energized, and resilient. By combining science-based programming with a supportive coaching style, Jill creates personalized plans that fit seamlessly into everyday life. Her goal is to empower clients with the habits, knowledge, and confidence they need to reach their goals and maintain them long term.

Erin McKay

Erin is a NASM certified personal trainer and Precision Nutrition Coach with a career that started in 2012 in St. Louis, Missouri (GO CARDINALS). Clients can expect tailored workouts that challenge them based on their fitness level and goals. Emphasizing proper technique and mind-muscle connection, Erin creates a safe space for clients to push limits, feel strong, and gain confidence. Outside the gym, Erin enjoys quality time with loved ones, savoring delicious food, movies, and outdoor activities. Passionate about helping others find harmony with exercise, food, and their bodies, Erin prioritizes self-respect and healthy behaviors for overall well-being.

Joey VanLaningham

Joey is a longtime personal trainer with an impressive career spanning over two decades. A graduate of Kansas State, Joey began personal training in 1997 and has since gained extensive experience working with both athlete and non-athlete populations. He also contributed as a trainer for the Dr. Phil Weight Loss Challenge, further showcasing his expertise. Joey is dedicated to creating personalized, effective programs that cater to the unique needs of his clients, helping them achieve their fitness goals. His passion for fitness and wealth of experience make him a trusted guide on any fitness journey.

Majid Dakkak
Personal Trainer
Majid is a dedicated personal trainer who began his fitness career in 2019. With certification through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), Majid understands that every individual is unique. He takes pride in tailoring programs to specific needs in alignment with their body's functionality. Majid's approach empowers clients to understand their body and its mechanics. His ultimate goal is to instill a lifestyle change, making physical activity a seamless part clients' lives. Beyond training, Majid enjoys boxing, bike riding, walking his dog, playing video games, and cherishes quality time with family and friends.

Mike Lienau

Meet Mike, a seasoned personal trainer who began his fitness career in 2003. With a degree in Exercise Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Mike holds advanced certifications including NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NASM Sports and Training Specialist, TRX, and Trigger Point. Mike's philosophy centers around inspiring and teaching his clients to while ensuring a fun training experience. Outside of training, Mike finds joy in spending time with his wife, daughter, and son. He is an active member of his home church and holds a strong faith in Jesus Christ. A sports enthusiast, Mike enjoys football and golf, outdoor activities, and working on various home projects.

Gabriel Rodriguez
Personal Training Lead
Gabriel is a dedicated personal trainer with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. Gabriel's training philosophy centers around respecting the body's design and improving clients' quality of life. He educates clients on anatomy and physiology while empowering them with new techniques for their physical health. Gabriel's proudest moments come when clients accomplish previously challenging tasks with ease and little discomfort. Outside of training, he enjoys running, hiking, basketball, boxing, and staying up-to-date with fitness content. Gabriel's interests also include nutrition, anatomy, sports, nature, and holistic medicine.

Brooke Stover
Personal Trainer
Brooke is a skilled personal trainer with more than 7 years of experience. Holding a primary certification from ACE, along with ACE Nutrition Specialist and FRC Mobility Specialist certifications, Brooke is dedicated to helping clients feel confident in their body's capabilities while staying pain-free. Her personalized approach empowers individuals to achieve their fitness goals and overall well-being. With Brooke as your trainer, expect a supportive and tailored experience that enhances confidence, optimizes physical abilities, and fosters a pain-free lifestyle. Outside the gym, Brooke enjoys walking her two dogs, paddleboarding, and expressing her creativity through baking.

Colin Carr
Personal Trainer
Colin is a passionate personal trainer and licensed massage therapist who began helping others right after college. A true student of his craft, he holds certifications from the CHEK (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology) Institute and as a neurosomatic therapist. Colin's training philosophy focuses on "train don't drain" and "assess don't guess." He has helped people recover from disc bulges, neck and jaw pain, shoulder pain, and more. Beyond fitness, Colin enjoys traveling, hiking, Latin dancing, and competing in jiu-jitsu as a purple belt.

Lauren Fritz

Lauren is a NASM certified personal trainer with a passion for helping individuals achieve their fitness goals. As a former cross country and track runner for the University of Texas at Austin, Lauren brings a unique perspective to her training methodology, emphasizing the importance of tailored programs, proper technique, and holistic wellness. Lauren is committed to helping her clients unlock their full potential, whether they're striving to lose weight, build strength, or improve their overall health and well-being. Outside of training, Lauren enjoys playing basketball, wakeboarding, hiking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
Steve Appelhans
Personal Trainer & Founder

Steve is the founder of Fixed by Fitness and longtime personal trainer. Graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in Exercise Science in 2008 and later obtaining a Master's degree in Fitness and Sport Management from the University of New Haven, Steve's passion is implementing thoughtful fitness programs which permeate clients' lives. With certifications as an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer, Advanced Corrective Exercise Specialist, Certified Health Coach, and Nutrition Specialist, Steve has witnessed remarkable physical transformations in his clients, but his favorite changes are when previously-sedentary clients become regular exercisers. Besides training, Steve enjoys family time, continuous learning, and friendly competition.
